Sway
Sway is an Australian performance company, formerly known as Strange Fruit, based in Melbourne. The company creates a remarkable style of work that fuses theatre, dance, and circus, centered around its signature sway pole apparatus.
Cassandra joined the company for its 2022 tour at Dollywood in Tennessee, performing Bloom as part of the Flower & Food Festival. After first auditioning for the company in 2013, Cassandra was invited to join the production nearly a decade later.
Bloom ran from April 22 through June 5, 2022, with Cassandra performing as part of a remarkable 132-performance run.
Working on the sway pole required Cassandra to adapt her extensive dance and aerial background to a highly specialized apparatus and an unconventional performance environment—an experience that reflects one of her greatest strengths as a performer: the ability to learn, adapt, and perform at a high level across unique forms of aerial and movement-based work.
Webster Hall
In 2017, Cassandra Estelle was selected as the final aerialist to join the cast of This Is Gotham, a Saturday-night party at the historic Webster Hall in New York City. Her selection was driven by the unusual range of her performance background, spanning aerial, harness work, ballet, and burlesque.
For her appearance, Cassandra choreographed an original aerial performance specifically for the event, combining elements of classical ballet, burlesque, and aerial artistry into a single piece designed for the club environment.
The performance was a showcase of Cassandra’s versatility as an artist—bringing together three distinct disciplines and translating them into a theatrical nightlife performance on one of New York City’s most iconic stages.
The Rochester Fringe Festival
As part of the Rochester Fringe Festival, Cassandra Estelle performed suspended 300 feet above the ground on the exterior of a 22-story building in Rochester, New York, as part of a large-scale outdoor aerial performance.
Working in harness and flying effects, Cassandra performed an aerial duet with a colleague, which she also co-choreographed for the event. The performance showcased one of her particular specialties: creating precise, dynamic choreography in a vertical environment while working with the technical demands of high-rise aerial performance.
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical
During the Broadway run of The SpongeBob Musical, Cassandra Estelle served as the lead trainer for harness work and flying effects, working with the production’s actors and ongoing understudies on behalf of On The Fly Productions.
In this specialized role, Cassandra was responsible for training performers in the aerial and harness techniques required for the production, helping ensure that new and replacement cast members were prepared to safely and confidently execute their flying sequences.
Her work on SpongeBob SquarePants on Broadway brought together her extensive background in aerial performance, harness work, dance, and theatrical flying effects, contributing behind the scenes to one of Broadway’s most visually inventive productions.
The Cutting Room
Cassandra Estelle has been the resident aerialist at The Cutting Room in New York City since 2015, making this one of her longest-running professional residencies. Over the past decade, she has performed throughout the iconic Manhattan venue for an extraordinary range of events, including New Year’s Eve celebrations, Halloween parties, corporate events, private parties, live music performances, and special events.
Founded in 1999, The Cutting Room is one of New York City’s most recognized live entertainment venues, with a long history of hosting celebrated musicians, actors, cultural figures, and high-profile guests. Cassandra was part of the venue’s 25th Anniversary celebration, performing at an event featuring Bill Murray and Paul Shaffer.
Her decade-long residency at The Cutting Room reflects the versatility of her work as a New York City aerialist and producer — bringing aerial choreography, theatrical spectacle, and an unmistakable sense of occasion to one of Manhattan’s most storied stages.

House of YES
Cassandra Estelle has performed at House of YES, Brooklyn’s renowned nightlife, circus, and performance venue, appearing in a wide range of productions and special events over the years. Known for its immersive performances, boundary-pushing programming, and celebration of circus, dance, burlesque, and nightlife, House of Yes has become an iconic destination in New York City’s performance scene.
Her appearances have included The Poetry Brothel, All-Star Circus Revue, Wondershow, The House of Noire, Foreplay, House of Love, Bordello, and Dirty Circus, among other productions.
Across these performances, Cassandra has brought her work as an aerialist, ballerina, gogo dancer, and burlesque performer to one of New York’s most distinctive stages, performing alongside a diverse roster of artists in productions spanning circus, cabaret, nightlife, and live entertainment.
The Poetry Brothel
Cassandra has been a recurring performer with The Poetry Brothel of NYC since 2015
The Poetry Brothel is an immersive literary cabaret that fuses poetry, activism, vaudeville, burlesque, live music, visual art, magic, mysticism, and private one-on-one poetry experiences.
Cassandra has created multiple acts for The Poetry Brothel and has performed with them in Boston, Washington D.C., Miami, and all over NYC at venues such as House of YES, The Back Room, The Cutting Room, and Bogart House.
